Back!

By , July 9, 2013

Hello!!!! Unbelievable it’s been 3 months since I’ve touched my little blog here. To make a very long, 3-month story into just a sentence, the brucellosis began coming back, so I had to face the music, make some pretty hard decisions, and do something about it (different this time than antibiotics — although antibiotics work, they are very hard on my body). My health is a work in progress at the moment, though I’m seeing enough positive signs of progress that I’m encouraged to stick with what I’m doing. It’s been rough. Nothing is an overnight fix, I realize, no matter which route I choose. My body was really sick. And I’m seeing how long it really does take to build it back up — it took years to tear it down, after all.

Anyway, just a few random pictures for today. I need to take some pictures of the garden — it’s doing great this year, to make up for some pretty below-average runs the past several years. Nothing cheers a gardener like flourishing plantlife!!

Sending love out to you all; I hope you have been well.

Lindsey I’m so happy to hear from you!

I have honestly begun to worry big time about your health so lately I’ve been checking your blog daily for news and was about to email you.

When you get the time write us your story if you feel like it.
You certainly look happy and energetic in the picture above :)

I’m having a hard summer as I’m 8 months’ pregnant (with my 2nd baby girl, 3rd baby) and it is very hot here in Athens and have to stay indoors.
I suffer from varicose veins (since my second pregnancy) which means no vacations for me as the sun and the heat aggrevate my already exhausted legs and feet.

Sending you my love and best wishes!

Glad to hear you are on the mend! I started following your blog a short while back and had missed you, but I had no idea about the brucellosis ! I hope that things continue to improve! Here in OH its been mega wet (15 days of rain straight now! I was about to build an ark!!!) but my garden is doing well despite it all so I am hoping today is the last day of rain(so the weather folks say!) and things can dry out a bit! Enjoy your garden the pics are lovely (cute kitty!) and continue to get well!! Take care!
